Academic Leaders
The Academic Leaders phase offers scholarships and support to assist talented Indigenous students enter credible academic institutions and graduate with a standard of excellence.
Applicants
Academically talented Indigenous students living within the Cape York, Mossman, Palm Island and Yarrabah regions who are entering into or currently undergoing secondary or tertiary education and are successful in the competitive selection process.
Purpose
This phase maximises educational and career opportunities by strengthening students’ academic, social and emotional capabilities, allowing them to go on to prosper within the workforce.
Features
Selected students are offered scholarships to Queensland’s leading boarding schools and highly acclaimed Australian tertiary institutions 
and are provided with on-going case management and support networks throughout their education.
Phase progression
Graduates may apply for the Youth, Skilling, or Excelling Leaders phase.
