The Cape York Leaders Program has a vision and a distinct purpose. We want to make a difference in peoples lives. We understand that it is through shared experience and wisdom that connection and growth occurs. The mentoring scheme is designed specifically for our graduates who have completed the Excelling Leaders phase. It is also open to our Leadership Alumni. Once Leaders have excelled, it is their time to share their journey and experience with other members of the Cape York Leaders Program!
The Cape York Leaders Program has such a strong belief in the power and richness of a mentoring relationship that it will be offering members the formal opportunity to receive training and support in this area. The ripple effect of mentoring is profound. There is no greater evidence of natural leadership than the desire and skill to mentor another.
Mentoring is the pinnacle aspiration of all our members. The mentoring framework has been designed in such a way to facilitate learning and provide the support to establish a formal mentoring module. To support our vision and goal of being an enabler for our people and community, it is critical to provide tools to support our people in their professional development and ensure their learning environment is one of challenge and stimulus. The aim of the mentoring framework is to enable people within the Cape York Leaders Program to develop mentoring relationships to enhance and increase both individual and organisational effectiveness.
