The chant "GET UP! STAND UP! SHOW UP!" could be heard floating through the streets of Cairns CBD last Friday. Before you saw the colourful crowd walking loud and proud, you heard them.
At this year's 2022 Cairns NAIDOC March, participants put the theme 'Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up!' into action by taking to the streets to march from Munro Martin Park to NAIDOC Friday in the Park.
NAIDOC Friday in the Park featured arts & crafts, food stalls and entertainment, including spoken word poetry from Trinity Clarke, a talented poet and Cape York Leaders Program staff member.
