In Coen, our local organisations adopt a class and support students with their learning. We were lucky to work with the Prep students during Term 3.

Our preppies are learning about the ecosystem! To assist with this, we invited the students to our office to plant some vegetable seeds that they will then grow in their greenhouse at the school. We also painted fibreglass turtle shells (or ninja turtles as the preppies call them) and spoke about the importance of looking after our environment and animals.

This activity teaches children that learning occurs everywhere. It’s always a good thing when you are continuously learning and passing on knowledge – whether it be practical or theoretical.

Thank you, Ms Peter, for bringing the students over.
