Two of our Year 11 Hospitality students had the opportunity to create and savour the culinary delights of French cookery at a recent Gateway School’s event at St Mary’s College in Cairns.

They spent the day with C’est Bon Cairns’ Executive Chef and Managing Director, Nicolas Devic, and Restaurant Manager, Kevin Gabsi. The C’est Bon team led students through a “hands on” cooking session and also provided them with practical tips on work ethics, cooking, service and guest satisfaction.

The Food, Wine and Tourism Gateway to Industry Schools project aims to help young people make a successful transition from school into further education and or employment in the commercial cookery, wine, hospitality and tourism industries.
