Federation University Australia and the National Centre for Reconciliation, Truth, and Justice hosted their Inaugural Federation University Annual Reconciliation Lecture in July 2023.
This major public lecture aims to increase the wider community's understanding of reconciliation, truth, and justice. The lecture was presented by Guugu Yimidhirr man Noel Pearson, one of Australia’s most influential Indigenous lawyers and activists. For many years, he has campaigned tirelessly in national leadership roles on constitutional reform, the Uluru Statement from the Heart, and the First Nations Voice to Parliament.
