Cape York Enterprises supports local business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs asking for a ‘hand up’ to prosper well into the future.

Many of the entrepreneurs have strong intent and passion for economic change, Cape York Enterprises works with entrepreneurs from product conceptualisation to market implementation providing support and guidance along the journey.

Lynz Coffee and Food Bar

Lynesse Ludwick is the owner of Lynz Coffee and Food Bar, which she registered as a business in January 2015 after spotting a gap in the local market. “I do wraps, rolls, salads, grilled foods … I also bake cakes. But I’m famous for my chips and wedges-people love chips.”

Lynesse received critical support from Cape York Enterprises in the establishment phase of her business, and has also received ongoing mentoring and advice. With continued hard work, she hopes to see her business grow. “Everything is basically out of my pocket,” said Lynesse. “Cape York Partnership has been a great help on the mentoring side.”

Lynesse is also supporting the community by encouraging locals to sell their home grown vegetables through the cafe. She admits that running her own business is hard work, but says” … as long as you’ve got commitment you can reach your goal.”
