On the weekends the focus is on fun and relaxation with opportunities such as swimming, art, sport, cultural activities and music clubs. Events and activities are also organized with other boarding schools to build networks and friendships outside our school family.

While nothing can break the incredible bond of family and community, boarding away for education can be hard at times. Indigenous girls in boarding school speak strong about sisterhood and lasting friendships formed when boarding with other girls.

Living with friends who have similar experiences not only provides connections and relationships for girls to lean on when times are tough, but learning together, and watching kids grow up together, makes each day exciting, fun and rewarding.
