The Skilling Leaders phase supports adult members develop their managerial and leadership skills to apply in the home, community and workforce.
The journey continues with adults who are ready to take their thinking to a higher level, advance their careers or develop their selected leadership ambitions.
The leaders move into deeper learning around leadership and learn to develop their own capability to manage, lead and emotionally engage others within any environment and drive desired behavioural outcomes across a range of different areas.
The program equips people with the managerial, governance and leadership skills to be role models within their families and communities and enter into the workforce and/or seek promotional opportunities.
Indigenous people who reside and have family and cultural connections to Cape York communities are encouraged to apply.

“I joined the Program to upskill my managerial skills and to better myself in my family, community and workplace. The course has really helped me to become more confident and to really listen to the youths in our communities.”
– Aldene, Skilling Leader 2015
