Professor Jody Currie is a Yugambeh person with traditional ties to the country between the Logan and Tweed Rivers. Jody has over 20 years’ experience in the delivery of health and human services. Jody was most recently Chief Executive Officer of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Health Service (ATSICHS) Brisbane. She established ATSICHS Brisbane as a Nationally Registered Early Childhood Education provider, a Nationally Registered Housing Provider, and a Registered National Disability Insurance Scheme Provider. Jody is an experienced non-executive director, and advises Governments and stakeholders on strategies to improve the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
