ABOUT THE ARTIST
“My name is Tamara and I am from the small township of Kuranda. My favourite things to paint are the traditional designs with traditional colours. When I was younger, my grandfather told me stories of how my ancestors survived and lived in the bush. He told stories of the way they hunted the wild animals and collected the bush tucker. He also talked about the traditional dances and songs they used to sing.”
