Finding His Beat

How Tatum is adapting to boarding school but still marching to the beat of this own drum

With his infectious personality and positive attitude Tatum Hart made the move from Hope Vale to board at Brisbane Boys College as part of the Cape York Leaders Program. He says boarding life has been “pretty good. I think I’m just saying that because of the food,” he laughs, with spaghetti bolognaise as his favourite.

His room shows his routine, including a flag for his beloved Dolphins and a schedule for his snare drum practice. Tatum is working hard towards the extraordinary opportunity to play in front of the King at Buckingham Palace.

“Cape York Leaders Program was a good thing for me because it helped me learn new things, go new place and find tutors that could help me with the rest of my work if it gets too hard,” Tatum says.
