‘O’ for opportunity
The O-Hubs are purpose-built community centres designed to empower families of Cape York to take control of their lives.
Located in Aurukun, Coen, Hope Vale and Mossman Gorge, with outreach services to Lockhart River and Wujal Wujal, the O-Hub is a safe space for all community members. They can come to speak with knowledgeable staff who encourage and support them to take responsibility for their finances, health and their children’s educational costs.
The O-Hub enables and builds the capabilities of individuals and families through a suite of Opportunity Products, which have been co-designed by Cape York Partnership and the Indigenous communities they support.

The long history of government intervention in the lives of Indigenous people has too often limited initiative and leadership.
People are not defined by welfare or labels. They are parents, workers, carers and leaders with aspirations for their families and communities.
Through the O-Hubs, we work alongside individuals and families to build the capabilities, confidence and opportunities to move towards greater economic participation and wellbeing.
By strengthening financial capability and life skills, we support a balance of rights and responsibility grounded in choice, agency and long-term prosperity.
What we are Doing
Each O-Hub is a welcoming, local space where the community comes together. It serves as a single point of contact where people can receive support, build skills and stay connected, whatever they need at the time.
Through the O-Hub, people can access a range of tools and services, including the Pama Platform, which brings together community updates, challenges and job pathways in one place.
O-Hubs also support Mayi Market in Mossman Gorge, Hope Vale, Wujal Wujal, Coen, Lockhart River and Aurukun, strengthening access to fresh, healthy food.
Hub on the Go
O-Hub Trucks extend O-Hub services to remote communities across Cape York, bringing support closer to families who can’t easily reach fixed locations. Each truck is a mobile service point, offering Opportunity Products co-designed with Indigenous communities and grounded in local priorities.
The trucks integrate with the wider O-Hub model to ensure consistent delivery across locations while remaining flexible to respond to community needs. By taking services directly to communities, Hub on the Go reduces barriers, improves access, and supports more regular engagement.
Opportunity Products
MPower is an O-Hub service that builds financial capability and confidence in Cape York communities. Consultants support individuals and families with budgeting, debt management, banking, and financial decision-making to help them understand their situation and work towards their goals.
Pama Platform is a web-based O-Hub service that consolidates digital tools and Opportunity Products in a single location. It assists users in managing their finances, organising daily tasks, and developing skills, offering 24/7 access and optional support from O-Hub staff.
Homelands supports Cape York families in building savings for land security and housing. Delivered across Cape York, it offers collective savings on land-related costs and individual home-deposit pathways via Bayan. Its purpose is to strengthen financial capability and enable secure housing and homeownership through structured savings and ongoing support.
Founded in 2020, Mayi Market is a not-for-profit Indigenous enterprise delivering fresh, quality food and essentials to remote Cape York communities at fair prices, with fortnightly deliveries to Coen, Hope Vale, Wujal Wujal, Mossman Gorge, Aurukun and Laura.

O-Hub locations
Our O-Hubs serve the communities of Aurukun, Coen, Hope Vale and Mossman Gorge. We also have outreach services to Wujal Wujal, Cooktown, Lockhart River and through the Cape York Partnership office in Cairns.
