Did you go to the Laura Aboriginal Dance Festival?
We Did! And it was spectacular! The celebration of dance and culture from so many communities was great to to see.
The Bama Services Team were on the ground for the whole weekend at our Bama Stall showcasing our amazing Crew, Projects and Employment Opportunities. The response was overwhelming with heaps of young people showing interest in our employment and training opportunities, individuals and businesses looking at ordering our range of bush toilets and showers and lots of people entering our competition to guess how many bolts and nails were in the jar!
Thanks to Bunnings Warehouse Smithfield, we gave away a $50 gift card and $50 gift pack of gardening tools and equipment!
Thanks to the amazing team on the ground – Sonny Bin Garape, Les Davis, Shane Stevens, Nathan Vanderpluym, Monty Noble-Swan and Kyle Schuh for manning the stall all weekend.
None of this would have been possible without the exceptional commitment from Kayla Mallie, Kayla spent weeks organising and planning for this weekend and all her hard work paid off, Thank You Kayla!
Thank you to the organisers of the Laura Aboriginal Dance Festival see you all there next time!
