The next generation of First Nations leaders and advocates were in the spotlight for this year’s 2025 NAIDOC March in Cairns.
Hundreds of people gathered at Munro Martin Parklands on Friday 4 July, kickstarting this year’s NAIDOC Week, which runs from 6-13 July. Cape York Partnership staff and other groups marched together, honouring fifty years of promoting Indigenous voices, culture, and resilience, as this year marks five decades since NAIDOC Week was established.
Generations came together to walk the streets, empowered by our young leaders, the vision of our communities and the legacy of our ancestors.
