Djarragun College Formal 2024

On November 14, the 2024 senior cohort at Djarragun College showcased their best dresses, sharpest suits, and impressive cars as they arrived at the Pullman International Hotel for their senior formal.

From the moment they opened their car doors, the students were met with love and support from family and friends, who gathered to watch them walk the red carpet.

The celebrations continued throughout the night, filled with laughter and fun, as the 31 students enjoyed an event dedicated entirely to recognising their 12 years of schooling.

The formal also served as a beautiful celebration of culture and empowerment as students took to the dance floor to perform for their peers and families, carrying their pride with them. Several performances captivated the audience, including dancing by a Torres Strait Islander family troupe and a traditional rain dance performed by a student's family from the Northern Territory.

This student, Qinston Watson, is the first in his family to complete Year 12, marking a significant achievement for both him and his family. Over 20 family members travelled from the remote community of Yuendumu in the NT to attend his formal.
