ABOUT THE ARTIST
“My name is Kaissia and I live in Gordonvale, thirty kilometres South of the city of Cairns. My totem is the salt water turtle and the red bellied black snake.
My mother is from Mossman and my father is from Hope Vale in Far North Queensland. I have five brothers and one sister and I was born in cairns.
My mother is part of the Kuku yalanji Clan and my father is the is part of the Guugu Yimithirr Clan.
I have been at Djarragun College for eleven years.”
