Patrick Wallace achieve’s his goal and sworn into the Australian Defence Force!
Patrick’s new journey began being enlisted into the Army. He flew out to Kapooka on the 2nd April for 80 day induction and training and then off to Victoria to start his trade as a Fitter Armament in the field of engineering.
Words from Patrick’s mother Amanda Fyfe:
Patrick is only allowed 15 minute phone time on Sunday’s and he called yesterday to say that he is enjoying it, finding it a bit strict but used to that coming from boarding school.
Just sending a huge thank you to you all (CYLP Staff) for the support, guidance and patience (especially you Sharon and BJ) for putting up with Patrick over the years and taking him through his scholarship journey. He not only got to go to a great school and meet friends for life, he got a great education and really empowered himself to become Boarding Captain in his last year and it is thanks to your great leadership and investment in him that he got this opportunity to excel…
Again, just a huge thank you from very proud and thankful parents.
Well done Patrick keep being more!
